BOI Remote Diagnostic Tool

Diagnostic Tool boirmtdiag

The program boiping has been replaced by BOI Remote Diagnostic Tool (boirmtdiag) for testing the connection to a TABEX monitor or callserver.

Now from each system, where a Java-VM is running, the connection to the TABEX monitor or callserver can be checked

This test not only includes the test of the network but also the test on higher level protocols.

How to call boirmtdiag

The program can be started in the windows terminal:

java -jar boirmtdiag.jar

Calling options

  • Option -? shows the help screen. This behavior is the same as a call without options.
  • Option -i switches to „interactive mode“. In this mode the options must be entered via terminal. The defaults of the parameters are displayed and can be changed.
  • Options -h and -p define host and port of the TABEX monitor or TABEX callserver for which the connection shall be tested.
Option -n defines how often the connection is tested (analog to ping).
  • Option -l prints a HEX trace of TABEX monitor data.
  • Option -t turns on the trace mode.
  • Option -l and -t can only be used for TABEX monitors

java -jar boirmtdiag.jar -h myServer -p 1997 -n 5 -l -t
