What do the TABEX/4 utility functions PROTARCH and PROTPSUM do?

PROTARCH and PROTPSUM

TBVW01-PROTPSUM compresses the protocol entries for a given period specified in the first parameter to a version of the table $TAB4PTPRA, which can be saved more compactly in the database.

TBVW01-PROTARCH transfers older versions of $TAB4PTPRA and the associated tables of database TABCMP into the archive database TABPCA. The first parameter has to be the number of versions of $TAB4PTPRA which should be remain in TABPRO. TABPCA must be defined as mass database (see BOIDOC-201_basis_en.pdf).

The REO files used by PROTPSUM and PROTARCH are no longer needed after successful execution.
