What is the difference between TABN03.SAVE and TABN03.DBOSAVE?

TABN03.SAVE

SAVE saves on the basis of the (selected) table versions and saves also the according AI tables, text tables and status entries.

TABN03.DBOSAVE

With DBOSAVE the result is not the same as SAVE.

DBOSAVE treats all "database objects" equally and considers only the selections done with DBOSELECT and DBOOMIT.

This leads to the following differences:

  • Database objects such as protocol entries are also saved but are not included in SAVE.
  • AI tables, text tables and status entries are also saved even if there are no more associated tables
  • AI tables, text tables and status entries are not automatically saved along with the tables, but are only saved if selected by  DBOSELECT.
