We have enhanced the TABEX4 user management.

We have implemented new features in the TABEX4 user management to make it even more user-friendly for you!

There are two new menu items:

  • 'Unblock user'
  • 'Reset password'

And new options for password management:

By system setting, you can now define, that:

  • user passwords expire after n days
  • user passwords may be changed at the earliest of n days
  • users may not re-use the last F passwords as new password
  • a user is blocked after n failed login attempts within m minutes
  • failed login attempts are logged in a sequential file.
  • Furthermore, you can now define the minimum password length m as system setting (5<=m<=32).

Data protection made in Europe.

In summer 2020, the EU-US Privacy Shield Frameworks were declared invalid by the European Court of Justice. Thus, we have taken essential measures.

Due to the sentence, the legal basis that justified some global enterprises to transfer personal data to the USA, is now invalid.

We at BOI are processing data based on valid legal regulations only. Therefore, we have taken the following measures:

  • We have deactivated Google Analytics on our website.
  • We are now using a newsletter tool of a European (German) company.

BOI in times of Corona.

2020 was a very challenging year for all of us. The less we could see each other, the more we could achieve by working together.

Together with our BOI Team, we have taken important steps in our product development despite the prevailing challenging conditions. And we have continued our excellent customer support even by working from home.

Together with our customers, we have discussed our product development during numerous online meetings and have worked together closely to realize our projects.

Together with our partners, we reviewed and substantiated our planning.

But that was not all:

The lockdown gave us the opportunity to broaden a component of our everyday life – one, that is sometimes left unattended in our fast-moving times: to take good care of ourselves and others.

We have taken the chance and committed to two projects: the workplace health promotion at BOI and the GivingTuesday.

The workplace health promotion is a project led by the Austrian governmental health insurance. The goal is, to improve the physical and mental health of every employee and principal. We at BOI are blessed with a very good working atmosphere. And yet we could gain some very useful approaches on how to improve our daily co-operation even more.

GivingTuesday, a global generosity movement, took place on December 1st 2020. Its goal is to establish a society of ethical justice and courtesy. We at BOI have decided to become a part of this movement. Following the motto „Giving is healthy!“, we transformed every of our health promoting ideas into a donation towards Diakonie Österreich. Our donation makes 90 online private lessons possible – during times, where supporting educationally disadvantaged children is especially important.
