Our climate protection strategy: How we plan to achieve our Net Zero goal until 2026 as a small IT company

We firmly believe that we can only overcome the climate crisis together. At BOI Software GmbH, we have therefore decided not just to stand by and watch, but to take active action.

After intensive planning and already in the middle of implementing numerous measures, we are pleased to share our Net Zero Strategy on our website.

Developing our Net Zero Strategy is just the beginning. We are working with great energy and enthusiasm to consistently reduce our greenhouse gas emissions in all areas.

What we are already doing:

• Green Heating: We have replaced our old gas heating systems with environmentally friendly air source heat pumps.
• Green Energy: We have expanded the capacity of our photovoltaic system. Since April 2024, we have been sourcing our additional electricity exclusively from certified green electricity. And we save electricity every day, including simple but effective measuressuch as switching off appliances when we are away.
• Green IT: We extend the service life of our hardware and use green coding to optimize the energy consumption of our software. Every kilowatt hour saved counts.
• Green Mobility: Public transport and our electric car are integral parts of our mobility strategy. We cover the costs of our employees for their climate-friendly journey to the office.
• Green Office Life: Our paperless office and strict waste separation are just some of the many small steps that together make a big difference.

We are proud to be on this path and hope to inspire other companies to take similar steps.
