Steiermärkische Krankenanstaltengesellschaft m.b.H. (KAGes) is the largest healthcare provider in Styria, with seven regional hospital networks at 24 locations and three regional care centers. KAGes manages all diagnoses, nursing goals and nursing services in the DiZiMa® classification catalogs. Until now, catalog maintenance was carried out in an MS Access-based database, which was only suitable for maintaining the DiZiMa® catalogs.
BOI FreeDa is a web-based solution that allows both the central DiZiMa® catalogs and the individual facility-specific catalogs of the state hospitals and state care centers to be edited in an audit-proof and traceable manner – without any special database knowledge.
At the heart of the solution is the parent-child link between the catalogs: changes in the central DiZiMa® catalogs automatically lead to subsequent changes in the dependent catalogs of the individual hospitals and care centers – including logging and status setting. Automatic data checks ensure the data quality of all catalogs.
A particular advantage: thanks to the comprehensive role-based permissions system, the KAGes central administration maintains full oversight of all editing steps and can also use BOI FreeDa to implement the individual requirements of the individual hospitals state care centers – while complying with the overarching data model.
Conclusion: BOI FreeDa ensures sustainable data quality at KAGes through workflow-based and secure data editing. It is a stable and scalable solution that facilitates collaboration and ensures greater efficiency within KAGes.
